Hi, my name is Kara and I own and operate HomeVet, a mobile vet service providing in-home vet care for small animals around Darwin, Palmerston and surrounding rural areas. Your pet deserves the best veterinary care possible, in the comfort and familiarity of their own home. I am a caring and gentle veterinarian whom your pets will come to know and trust.
After graduating from the University of Queensland in 2010, I lived and worked on the Gold Coast in various veterinary clinics. It was readily apparent that many pets (and some owners) had difficulty attending veterinary clinics, and really don’t enjoy the experience. That’s why I decided to open a dedicated mobile veterinary service.
HomeVet moved to Darwin in 2018 with my family, and we’re excited to be offering these services which proved so popular in Queensland.
I aim to make veterinary care as convenient and stress free as possible. I carry all the necessary veterinary equipment with me so I can examine your pet in the comfort of their home. Familiar surrounds can often alleviate many of the anxieties associated with veterinary care.
